NIGHTMARE to Release 3 Best Albums

To finish celebrating their 15th year in the music scene, NIGHTMARE announced that they will be releasing 3 best albums for their fans.

The first album is called best tracks 2011-2015 [beást] and it will be on sale November 25. It will cost 3600 yen. It will have 2 CDs with a total of 23 songs.

GUILD Takes a Break from Band Activities

isual Kei band GUILD has announced to go on hiatus at the end of the year.

Just earlier today we reported on GUILD releasing a new live DVD. Unfortunately there was another announcement that appeared on the band's website just a few hours ago:

To all fans,

Thank you for always supporting GUILD.

Due to differences among the members regarding the direction the band should take, the members and staff discussed the situation and came to the conclusion that GUILD will take a break from all band activities as of the end of the year.

The already announced lives until the end of the year will be held as scheduled but the schedule for the new year is completely undecided. 

We're very sorry for this sudden announcement and ask for your understanding.

Guitarist Yoshihiro asks everyone to "give them some time to breath" since they are "about to choke". Also Ryuichi explains that since middle school all he ever wanted to do is to sing but since he was always rushing to make this dream come true he feels a bit tired now.

GUILD is active for six years now and the last live before going on hiatus will be held at Umeda AKASO on December 3rd.

Ex-AMARANYX-Members Form New Band "IGGY"

Two members of disbanded Visual Kei band AMARANYX announced to start a new band.

In December 2013 guitarist Naoto left AMARANYX and the band went on hiatus - and never came back from it. In June 2014 AMARANYX as well as the members new project PSYCHE stopped all activities. We haven't heard a lot from the members since then but now both guitarists, Naoto and Masahito, are back. Naoto is now called JOE and Masahito is called Lyuca and together with three other musicians they've formed a new band named "IGGY". This is the line-up:

Vocal: Souma (創真)

Guitar: JOE (ex-AMARANYX)

Guitar: Lyuca (リュカ) (ex.-JoKER-, YGGDRASIL, AMARANYX, PSYCHE)

Bass: Allen (アレン) (ex.-JoKER-, starless, Cross hearT (as Hayato))

Drums: Loa

On November 20th IGGY will hold its first live at Ikebukuro BLACK HOLE and the first release will be a EP titled "REVOLUTION" that will drop on November 18th. The CD will include the following songs:

MeteoroiD Announces Best Album and Free Tour

Visual Kei band MeteoroiD just finished its 2nd oneman live at Takadanobaba AREA in Tokyo. At that live the band had several announcements for fans.

The first announcement is the band's 1st anniversary live since changing its concept and bandname from METEOROID to MeteoroiD. The anniversary live will be a special one: it's titled "METEROROID vs. MeteoroiD" and it seems like fans will be able to listen to the older songs by METEOROID once again - a rare opportunity since the band doesn't play these songs that often anymore.

The second announcement is guitarist Mikado's birthday live which will be held on February 27th in Ikebukuro, Tokyo.

But there is more! If you are in Japan this January there is one tour you should mark in your calender, whether you are a fan of the band or don't know it yet. From January 21st to 28th MeteoroiD will go on free oneman tour and give lives in Nagoya, Osaka and Tokyo. A good opportunity to get to know this band, don't you think so?

Apart from these lives and the ones they've already announced for the upcoming months there is also an announcement regarding a new CD. It will be a best album titled "BULLETBOX" that is scheduled to be released on February 10th. Right now we don't have many details on the track list but the band revealed that a re-recorded version of the song "little boy" which has been released as METEOROID in 2013 will be featured on the CD.

Seems like MeteoroiD will be busy this winter!

Visual Kei band D=OUT revealed details on the release of its upcoming single which will be the band's first release since drummer Naoto joined.

This will be D=OUT's first single since drummer Naoto has joined the band last month. For about one year D=OUT didn't have an official drummer. Minase left the band to take over his family's company in September last year and since that day D=OUT performed with a support drummer. On August 8th Naoto finally joined as official member. He has played the drums in xTRiPx under the name "ena" before, until its disbanding in February.

But this single isn't the only upcoming release D=OUT has announced. There will also be an album titled "shin gi tai" (心・技・体). The release date hasn't been revealed yet but already in January the band will kick off its tour that has the same title like the album. The tour will end with an one man live on March 4th and a D=OUT presents live the following day.
